Scheduling & Fees
Initial 30-minute, Zoom consultation:
No cost
Sessions:
I find that longer session times are needed for the emotional depth and intensity of this kind of therapy work. The first session includes a one-time intake and attachment interview and is the cost of a regular session (this initial session can be either 75 or 90 minutes).
Ongoing weekly or biweekly sessions are either 75 or 90 minutes in length. The frequency and length of session is determined by and responsive to the current needs of the couple.
At the beginning of our work together, sessions are weekly, or in some cases, twice a week. Over time, some couples shift to every other week.
Fees:
75-minute session: $300
90-minute session: $360
Payment:
I accept credit cards and cash.
Payment for counseling is due on the day of the session and is on a per-session basis.
Online Scheduling:
You may schedule appointments using the Therapy Portal online scheduling tool. You will gain access to this tool when you access your standard paperwork.

Insurance:
I do not take insurance for couples work.
I am not on any insurance company panels and I am not able to bill insurance for you. In our work, your relationship (rather than an individual) is the focus, and unfortunately, most insurance plans do not view couples therapy as something that is medically necessary, so they typically will not cover it.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that you will receive any reimbursement for our sessions.
If you would like to check to see if you are one of the very few who have a plan that offers any reimbursement for couples work, I suggest calling your insurance representative and asking if they will accept CPT code 90847 with a diagnostic code of ICD-10 Z63.0. These are the only codes I am able to use to code these sessions.
If your insurance offers partial reimbursement for couples therapy, you pay me for the session, and I provide you with a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. The insurance company sends you the reimbursement directly.
